Terms and Conditions
Payments
All courses are paid for in advance and are non-refundable, by purchasing a course you commit to the entirety of the course length. Refunds or credits will not be issued for changes in your personal circumstances. Course spaces cannot be transferred to another course once a booking has been made or a course has started. Course spaces can be transferred to other participants if approval is given by the Studio Escape coordination team.
Cancellation
Occasionally it may be necessary to postpone certain sessions at short notice. Credits will be given for any cancelled sessions.
Course Variations
Please be aware that some courses, days, and/or times are not guaranteed and are liable to change or cease to run depending on participation numbers. If significant changes are made to a course prior to the start or during the course, the option will be given to transfer to another course if possible or credits/refunds will be issued.
Instructors
Whist every effort will be made to ensure the named instructor will teach the entirety of your course, from time to time a replacement instructor may be used to cover holidays and illness. All instructors will be qualified to teach the named course.
Course Progression
On progressive courses different students may improve at different rates, therefore it may be advised by the instructor that some participants repeat courses before moving on to a more advanced course. Please note progression may be dependent on course availability.

Centre Members / Non-Members
Students with Leisure Centre memberships may be entitled to discounts on Studio Escape courses, however courses are paid in advance so discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.
Rules
The full Centre rules are displayed in the reception area and on the website, you must comply with these rules which form part of this agreement. Please note these rules are liable to change as needed at any time. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in the termination of your session.
We ask you to familiarise yourself with the contents of our signs, notices on display and the location of the emergency exits. If you suffer an accident or injury on our premises, you must report it and the circumstances under which it happened to the senior manager on duty immediately. If you have a complaint, we want to know about it as soon as possible so that we may fully investigate it and sort the matter out.
Access Cards
We will issue you with an access card when you sign up for a course, you must have this card with you whenever attending a session at the centre and must check in at reception or via the self-service kiosks before the start of your session. Please keep your personal details up to date at all times. You agree to advise us promptly of any change to your personal details provided. All information we hold about you will be dealt with in line with our privacy policy.
Parking
When attending a Studio Escape session participants are entitled to free parking, to take advantage of this we require all attendees to register their vehicle registration at reception or via the selfservice parking tablet. This must be done prior to each individual session. We cannot not guarantee the availability of a parking space. Please note parking at Laura Trott Leisure Centre is subject to the Centre rules and monitored by the Borough of Broxbourne.
HEALTH COMMITMENT STATEMENT
We are dedicated to helping you take every opportunity to enjoy the equipment and facilities that we offer. With this in mind, we have carefully considered what we can reasonably expect of each other.
Our commitment to you
- We will respect your personal choice, and allow you to make your own decisions about what exercise you can carry out. However, we ask you not to exercise beyond what you consider to be your own abilities.
- We will take reasonable steps to make sure that our equipment and facilities are clean and safe for you to use and enjoy for the normal purpose they were intended for. Bear in mind that we are not able to clean or inspect equipment and facilities after each use.
- We will take reasonable steps to make sure that our staff are qualified to Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity standards.
- If you tell us you have a disability that puts you at a substantial disadvantage in terms of accessing our equipment and facilities, we will consider which adjustments, if any, are reasonable for us to make.
Your commitment to us
- Do not exercise beyond your own abilities. If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition that might interfere with you exercising safely, you should get advice from a relevant medical professional before you use our equipment and facilities, and follow it.
- Make yourself aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices, and follow them. Exercise carries its own risks. When you are exercising, you are responsible for the risks involved. You should not carry out any activities that you have been told are not suitable for you.
- Let us know immediately if our equipment or facilities are unsafe to use or if you feel ill when using our equipment or facilities. Our staff members are not qualified doctors, but there will be someone available who has been trained in first aid.
- If you have a disability, follow the instructions provided to allow you to exercise safely.
