Studio Escape
Studio Escape is a purpose-built yoga, Pilates and well-being studio. It is an exclusive calm space away from the day-to-day hubbub of the leisure centre. This new holistic therapy centre is a safe and comfortable place for both beginners and more advanced practitioners to focus on their self-improvement. All equipment is supplied. There is a water cooler in the room, please bring your own bottle. There is also an area to remove and place coats, bags and shoes.
Sunday Morning Beginner and Improver Pilates
Next course starts Sunday 1 September for six weeks
Improvers at 10:00am, Beginners at 11:05am. 60 minute class.
In the Beginners class you will spend time mobilising the body and focusing on creating further range of movement. We will aim to gradually build up the strength of the core through exercises which encourage abdominal control without pressure built around the back. We will focus on exercises which strengthen the muscles in the back to relieve muscular pain. We will develop posture throughout each exercise aiming to correct and strengthen these muscles, which will in turn relieve joint pain and muscular tension. At the end of this course, you will feel stronger, with better posture and have built good foundation for further strengthening core muscles.
In the Improver class you will use your foundation core strength to support and challenge muscle groups with exercises which strengthen and tone. We will encourage greater range of movement and flexibility in the body and aim to strengthen the muscle groups at these developed lengths. Posture will be reset throughout the class and strengthened to alleviate any tensions and soreness. Throughout the class you will be challenged through each exercise building upon layers to tone, sculpt and strengthen your body.
