Yin Yoga workshop – suitable for all. Sunday 15 December 2pm to 3pm
Yin Yoga is a slow, deep stretch practice and complements all forms of yoga and exercise, as well as being ideal for beginners. Almost everyone can benefit from a controlled stretch under expert instruction. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the tendons, fasciae and ligaments, increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Poses are held for two to five minutes, using supports where necessary. The slow pace of Yin Yoga provides the opportunity too find inner stillness whilst releasing deep tension in the body and stress from the mind. Equipment is supplied. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Filtered water is supplied but please bring your own water bottle.

Sound Bath workshop. Suitable for all. Sunday 8 December at 2pm
Reconnect to yourself, relax and unwind with this nourishing Yoga Nidra with sound bath. Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a meditative state between waking and sleeping, best achieved by listening to guided meditation and specific sounds delivered at a mind-quieting frequency. For many people sound is the easiest way to tap into a meditative state. Experience a unique, sensory end to the session, with Paiste gong and crystal bowls. Equipment is supplied. Wear loose, comfortable layers, and you may wish to bring a blanket. Filtered water is supplied but please bring your own water bottle.

Standing Pilates – TBC. Suitable for all, especially people who have difficulty getting up and down to the floor without assistance.
This class includes many of the mat work exercises incorporated in traditional Pilates, but offers modifications and updates to include strengthening, stretching and mobility movements to encourage a stronger back, core and improve balance; all without going to the floor. Introduction to Hatha Yoga – suitable for all. next class tbc
This workshop is designed for those new to yoga or who have minimal experience and are eager to explore its wonders in a safe and welcoming environment. The workshop gently guides you through the foundations of Hatha Yoga, a gentle and accessible form of yoga that emphasises physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and relaxation. In these calming sessions, you will be guided towards inner calm and balance through gentle stretches, mindful breathing, and peaceful meditation.
All equipment is supplied, please wear loose comfortable clothing. There is a dedicated area in the studio for coats, bags and shoes. Cooled, filtered water is available but please bring your own water bottle.

Well Woman workshop – Next workshop tbc. Note this is a two hour workshop.
The Well Woman workshop is in essence an MOT for women focusing on bladder issues, hysterectomy, pre- and post-natal, perimenopause, menopause and beyond. The workshop will promote a healthy pelvic floor throughout the stages of a woman’s life in a safe and open environment.
The Well Woman workshop will cover:
- Why pelvic floor health is necessary
- Pelvic anatomy and the function
- How the pelvic floor affects your core, bladder, spine, mechanics and the implications of any misalignment
- Functional exercise for the pelvic floor and for the general increase of bone density, with progressive steps to increase your strength throughout your body
- How menopause, pregnancy, ageing and lifestyle effects your body and the steps you can take to help yourself and increase your own body knowledge
- Incorporating Pilates into your routine and how this can eliminate some common issues e.g. back pain, hips shoulders, neck, feet your joints.
